Performs a variety of clerical and administrative duties to the Career Development Director. This role involves handling routine telephone calls and visitors, producing information through transcription, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting text, data, and graphics. The assistant will maintain calendars, schedule appointments, attend meetings, prepare and distribute minutes, and act as a liaison between the manager/supervisor and other center staff. Key tasks also include maintaining correspondence control logs, arranging meetings, preparing special reports, maintaining files and records, handling statistical data, making travel arrangements, typing correspondence, updating residential schedules, and managing the student incentive and performance evaluation systems. The position requires scheduling students into academic and vocational classes, meeting performance standard goals, following CDSS plan and Code of Conduct, adhering to property control policies, maintaining good housekeeping and safety practices, and complying with all DOL guidelines, OFCCP regulation, Quality Assurance Plan (QAP), Serrato policies, Job Corps notices, and Center policies. The assistant is also responsible for student and property accountability, maintaining classroom supply inventory, managing the substitute list, and continuously reinforcing student employability. They must demonstrate and abide by Serrato Corporation's core values and operating principles, model Career Success Standards, and participate in PRH mandated staff training.
