About The Position

Performs administrative and secretarial support to the Director of Athletics and Human Performance, in a highly visible position, encompassing many advanced and diverse duties, requiring high levels of responsibility and leadership. Performs all other work as required. Position is part-time: With 29 hours a week and 210 days in the year. Some summer work is required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, Associate’s Degree preferred.
  • Three years of advanced secretarial, accounting and computer experience and public sector experience preferred; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for initiating all purchase orders for the Athletic and Human Performance Department, as well as obtaining quotes, ordering goods, verifying shipment and delivery, and reconciling and submitting invoices for payment.
  • Communicates with other schools and the NHIAA to verify and coordinate game schedules
  • Works closely with the Athletic Director to track the current budget and anticipate funding needs, as well as determine budget needs for upcoming budgeting based on past purposes, utility use tracking, etc.
  • Works closely with the transportation provider.
  • Works with the officials assignors.
  • Maintains all electronic record-keeping for athletic department scheduling, records, and student database.
  • Communicates district-wide with staff and administration, vendors via phone and email, answers phone, greets visitors, checks, and distributes mail, calendaring, and filing, and serves as backup to the receptionist as needed.
  • Performs similar or related work as required, directed, or as the situation dictates.
