About The Position

Hastings Senior Health & Living, a Cassia community, is seeking an Administrative Assistant/ Staffing Coordinator to join the team in Hastings, MN. As an Administrative Assistant/ Staffing Coordinator​​​​​​​, you will greet visitors, answer and route phone calls, help with administrative tasks, and provide exceptional customer service to guests. You will also work closely with the Director of Health Services to maintain staffing of Home Health Aides based on census. Our ideal candidate is passionate about working with seniors, has the ability to multi-task and assist with administrative support, and is friendly and professional in all situations.

Requirements

  • Must be able to use a multi-line phone system.
  • Familiarity with MS Word, Excel and Publisher.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Self-starter with a desire to be a part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in scheduling or administrative roles preferred.
  • Previous experience in Assisted Living or Nursing Homes preferred.
  • Experience using scheduling software is preferred. Knowing Teambridge is a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Work with the DON to maintain and schedule staffing levels for the nursing department; update shift replacements.
  • Approve shifts and ensure all shifts are covered by texting/calling employees.
  • Assist in finding coverage for open shifts.
  • Provide excellent customer service at all times.
  • Greet guests, answer questions, and direct visitors throughout the facility.
  • Answer incoming calls, transfer calls, and take messages.
  • Scan invoices, manage weekly deposits and handle other administrative tasks.
  • Provide word-processing and data support as needed.
  • Sort mail and complete other administrative tasks as assigned.
