The Administrative Assistant Lead at the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering serves as a key operational leader, providing advanced administrative support and overseeing daily workflows that are critical to the school's academic, research, and outreach missions in West Lafayette and Indianapolis. This position is responsible for coordinating complex tasks, coordinating meetings with various faculty, staff, students, and constituents, conducting research and preparing reports, drafting and editing correspondence, maintaining financial processes and records (including Purchasing Card checkouts, reconciliations, travel arrangements, reimbursements, and invoice processing), and ensuring the smooth execution of departmental processes. The role requires knowledge of administrative systems and the ability to solve complex, non-routine problems that span multiple functional areas. The position also plays a vital role in supporting the Administrative Manager with the creation, dissemination, and execution of processes and policies, as well as evaluating for effectiveness and simplicity.
