About The Position

The Florida Public Service Commission (FPSC) is committed to making sure that Florida's consumers receive some of their most essential services — electric, natural gas, telephone, water, and wastewater — in a safe, reasonable, and reliable manner. In doing so, the FPSC exercises regulatory authority over utilities in one or more of three key areas: rate base/economic regulation; competitive market oversight; and monitoring of safety, reliability, and service. The Administrative Assistant II position is located in the Office of External Affairs and reports to the Division Director. Duties for the position include: assists the Division Director with budget management, processes division personnel-related matters such as position description preparation and paperwork associated with personnel actions, prepares administrative reports, and oversees supply procurement. The position will also process travel-related documents for the Division, assist employees with agency protocols, edit documents for grammar and spelling, and create Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, and PowerPoint presentations.

Requirements

  • Three years of secretarial or clerical work experience.
  • College education from an accredited institution can substitute at the rate of 30 semester or 45 quarter hours for each year of the required work experience.
