About The Position

Provide administrative support to the Presiding Judge and judges assigned to the Division; Email lawyers and litigants regarding procedural matters in the litigation and email litigants case information in a timely manner; Answer basic questions about Zoom and remote proceedings, such as providing Meeting ID and Passcode information, and be able to communicate basic remote connection instructions to individuals via phone or email for all court calls, including Calendars 01 and B; Coordinate and schedule matters for Calendars 1 and B. Manage dockets as directed ; Manage case transfers to/from Complex Litigation Calendars and out of county transfers to the Chief Judge; Operate Incarcerated Litigants Call; Schedule and oversee completion of all Substitution of Judge for Cause hearings; Interface with the Office of the Interpreters, Sheriff’s Office, Official Court Reporters, and the Clerk’s Office to manage litigation and court-related matters for the Division; Assist the Presiding Judge, Court Administrator, Program Coordinator, and Senior Division Attorney with ongoing educational trainings, programming, compliance with time standards, case management dates, and docket statistics; Provide backup for other Presiding Judge’s Office administrative staff as required; Perform such other duties as directed by the Court Administrator and Presiding Judge. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Domestic Relations experience preferred
  • Knowledge of how cases proceed through the court system and Clerk of the Circuit Court forms
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with Adobe Acrobat Reader and Adobe Fill and Sign
  • Proficient with navigating through high volume of emails
  • Ability to work cooperatively and integrate with legal and non-legal personnel
