M-B is currently hiring a Full-Time Administrative Assistant to be based out of the corporate office in Austin, TX. This is an entry-level role that provides on-the-job training. Customer service skills may serve as a benefit in this role. Success in this role comes from staying present and attentive, keeping the multi-line office phone running smoothly, communicating clearly, and juggling day-to-day tasks without getting sidetracked. Strong attention to detail and steady follow-through will go a long way here.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Computer literacy
  • Strong communication skills – written and oral
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, etc.
  • Must be eligible for coverage under the company’s commercial auto insurance policy, which requires drivers to be 23 years or older and carry a valid TX drivers license.
  • Applicant will be subject to a Motor Vehicle Record Check. Satisfactory driving records are required for driving company or personal vehicles and motor driven equipment to conduct company business.
  • Applicant must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen. Safety impact employees will be subject to additional drug and alcohol testing throughout his/her employment.
  • As part of its employment process, M-B may procure or have prepared a criminal background check. An applicant with an unsatisfactory criminal background check report is ineligible to be hired for the position for which the report is initiated.
  • If hired, applicant must provide document(s) within three (3) days of hire date that establish identity and employment eligibility. A complete list of acceptable documents is on file with the local Texas Workforce Commission office or http://www.twc.state.tx.us/.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating with Accounts Payable on tasks related to expense reports, vendor payments, and other admin tasks as assigned
  • Work with HR in weekly tasks related to PTO management, calendar updates, and other clerical duties
  • Assist Project Accountant with digital file maintenance and contract compliance as needed
  • File maintenance and coordination
  • Fleet Management
  • Answering all direct incoming calls
  • Assistance with inventory management
  • Receiving guests, visitors, and packages
  • Reliable transportation for local travel up to 5% of the time
  • Assist in other business areas as needed.
