This position acts as the assistant to the director of the property section and supports the property section’s staff through a wide variety of administrative tasks. Performs office work directly related to the property section and general business operations which are complex in nature and are not limited to the following; reviewing and/or preparing correspondence, handling information requests, interpreting administrative and operating policies and procedures, recommending improvements in administrative procedures as needed, supporting the coordination of office moves and cubicle modifications projects, receiving supply store requests from customers, and supporting the property section training program for inventory custodians and custodian delegates. Assists Property manager, property director and inventory agents with processing and maintaining Vocational Rehabilitation property surplus paperwork and filing systems. The employee must be productive under tight timeframes, balance multiple and competing priorities, and maintain goal-directed behavior and performance, sometimes under stressful conditions. Attendance is an essential function of this position. The employee must interact courteously with others and contribute to teamwork and productivity through training and communication, interpersonal interactions, and prioritization of work involving section staff, bureau/division support staff, and other support personnel within the department. The employee's performance and behavior must demonstrate consideration of the workload concerns of others and must not negatively affect productivity and morale of the unit.
