About The Position

POSITION TITLE: Administrative Assistant – HS Registrar REPORTS TO: Principal TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 220-day contract with benefits according to Siloam Springs School Board policies LOCATION: Siloam Springs High School QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma Experience working in a professional office setting Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Work, Excel, and Outlook) and Google Able to operate personal computers, laptop computer, peripheral computer equipment, photocopier, fax machine, and other office equipment with a high degree of skill Highly motivated with strong organizational skills; able to coordinate multiple tasks at one time Self-starter; able to work independently; organized Effective verbal and written communication skills Strong telephone and interpersonal communication skills Experience with eSchool, eFinance, and YellowFolder is desired Knowledge, understanding of and patience interacting with students, parents and community members Ability to work as a contributing and flexible team member Bilingual preferred ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Inputting and generating of data/information for recordkeeping in multiple software systems Enrolling/withdrawing students Contacting parents for appointments; meeting with parents/students for enrollment Sending for records; maintaining electronic files Double checking data for accuracy and entering new data Managing McKinney Vento, shot records, agriculture forms Sending transfer grades to teachers Making folders and test cards for new students to the district Answering phones, receiving messages, and responding to inquiries by staff, parents, or patrons of the district Preparing reports, compiling data, and distributing information to parties both inside and outside the district Preparing correspondences and communications for families, staff, and students OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS: Maintaining confidentiality Attending meetings and training as directed Presenting and communicating in a professional manner Working additional hours or overtime as directed Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Experience working in a professional office setting
