JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Summary of the Job: Provides administrative support to the Assistant Vice President (AVP) of Nursing, Critical Care Services, and management team consisting of Directors and RN Supervisors, taking directions from the AVP. Demonstrates competence in organization, maintaining documents relevant to Critical Care Services, handling of multiple tasks, production of minutes, written and oral communication skills and a professional appearance and attitude. Responsible for the upkeep of department standards and protocols. Minimum Qualifications: Three years of experience in clerical and administrative duties with minimum direct supervision. Experience in advanced computer skills including spreadsheets, and typing speed of 60 words per minute. Must possess the necessary discretion to deal with confidential information, have the ability to establish and maintain rapport with all levels of hospital employees and patients Must be able to think quickly, often solving problems that arise. Attention to details, and excellent organization skills with the ability to meet deadlines and multi-tasks. Knowledge of critical care safety and regulatory compliance issues Medical terminology and previous experience in the healthcare field preferred. Physical Demands: Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 50 pounds is required.
