About The Position

FORT BEND ISD SCHOOL SAFETY OFFICER / K9 PROGRAM Provides Texas Level III Commissioned Armed Security Officers to 52 Fort Bend ISD Elementary schools Provides Officers to conduct screening and bag checks at Fort Bend ISD High School and Middle School Sporting events Provides a K9 Unit paired with a Supervisor for random checks throughout the school district. FBISD Admin Asst./Compliance officer needs to have a variety of skills, including:

  • Prior Administrative Experience:
  • At least 1-3 years of experience in an administrative or office support role. This may include positions such as administrative assistant, office coordinator, receptionist, or executive assistant.
  • Security or contract work experience preferred.
  • Experience using office software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is typically required. Additional experience with database management, scheduling software, or document management systems preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience:
  • Prior experience in customer service or client-facing roles is highly valuable.
  • Organizational Skills a must.
  • Demonstrated experience managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and handling multiple tasks simultaneously is essential.
  • Excellent Communication Skills:
  • Experience preparing correspondence, reports, and presentations, as well as interacting professionally via phone and email, is frequently required.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • An associate's or bachelor's degree in business administration, office management, or a related field preferred.
  • Supervisory Experience:
  • Senior administrative positions may require prior experience supervising staff or managing office operations.
  • Project Management:
  • Experience coordinating projects, managing budgets, or implementing new procedures can be necessary for advanced roles.
  • Confidentiality and Discretion:
  • Experience handling sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality is often required, especially when supporting senior executives.

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of Andy Frain’s hiring and onboarding process and the ability to perform the task from applicant to employee
  • Able to schedule multiple staff daily in our Celayx system
  • Responsible for entering payroll daily and submitting payroll on a weekly basis within time restraints
  • Expert understanding of the laws, statutes and regulations encompassing the Texas Level III Commissioned Officers
  • Responsible for assuring that the program is at all times in compliance with said statutes
  • Monitors daily training requirements and compliance related issues with the officers
  • responsible for notifying officers when any compliance issue is a concern, approaching expiration etc.
  • Monitoring: Using a compliance management platform to monitor all operational processes and procedures
  • Assessing risk: Identifying potential compliance issues and developing strategies to mitigate them
  • Managing information: Researching, recording, and analyzing data and information
  • Training: Educating staff on legal changes and compliance guidelines
  • Liaison: Acting as a contact person between department heads and senior management
  • Regular assessments: Conducting regular assessments to determine if policies are compliant with the law
  • Updating regulations: Keeping up to date with regulations and implementing strategic plans to ensure future compliance
  • Advising: Advising Manager and Supervisors on ethical and compliance matters
  • Supporting management: Supporting management in developing a suitable "Tone at the Top"
  • Other duties as assigned by the Project Manager
