About The Position

This position functions are part of the program management team. Major responsibilities include staff supervision, management of office business functions, building maintenance, ordering of supplies, maintenance of client and program files and medication issuance. Implement procedures that comply with program and agency guidelines and polices. Maintain professional interactions with clients, parents of clients, program staff, and collaterals. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS : Reports to work as scheduled on a regular and reliable basis. Must not appear on the APS/CPS Registry for abuse/neglect, or have been dismissed from prior employment due to suspected abuse/neglect. Must be able to pass a criminal background check. Manages office operations including supervision of secretary. Must maintain a certificate of completion in "Safe Kids Buckle Up" and use these procedures while transporting Alpha School students. Complete training in, and facilitate, good nutrition and food safety. Must complete orientation in the Alpha School methods training for interacting with children and the Alpha School discipline policies and procedures. Must possess and maintain certification concerning the identification of abuse, neglect, and sexual abuse of children, and be knowledgeable of the state's reporting requirements. Understand and follow "school-age-on lV' center regulations and requirements. Follow Emergency preparedness evacuation plans in the event of a fire, tornado or in the event of a man made or natural disaster. Maintain certification in basic First Aid and CPR and be able to form these duties as needed. Display and teach infectious control practices including proper hand washing techniques, personal hygiene, and disposal of infectious materials. Participates in management team meetings when needed. Manages maintenance of building and maintains related documentation with quarterly updated to the Director. This information will be reviewed with the school safety committee. Manages reordering of all school, office and building related supplies. Supervise the distribution of supplies to staff. Supervise the development and maintenance of student and staff files. Supervise the lunch program which includes working with contracted food service company and related documentation. Gather and process data for billing/reimbursement, handles school contracts and CACFP reimbursement and related paper work. Responsible for compliance with fire and health regulations and related documentation. Responsible for compliance for HHS school age only day care licensing and other credentialing licensing visits. Supervise client medication, and supervise the student administration and documentation of student medications. Monitor and track staff attendance. Responsible for IEP Letter notification. Supervise the operation and the maintenance of all office equipment and provides staff with instruction in equipment use. Implement proper behavior management procedures, following policies and guidelines. Communicates with district personnel and district transportation personnel regarding student transportation issues to include monitoring van write-ups and special transportation situations. Supervises cleaning service performance and report problems to the Director. Maintains documentation of classroom expense accounts. Maintains student data base and student attendance data base. Know and apply ENHSA, Alpha School, and State policies, procedures, and guidelines. Maintain a high degree of confidentiality regarding client, personnel and administrative matters at all times. Communicate orally and in writing. Interact with professionals, staff, and students within a facility that treats severe behavior disordered students. Act as a role model for students and staff through appearance, affect and interpersonal relationships. Maintain a professional and effective working relationship with administrators, staff, students, parents, other agencies, other school districts, and the general public. Must possess a valid drivers license with no major violations in the last five years and no moving violations or at-fault accidents in the last three years. Must report all moving violations on or off duty, where a citation or ticket is issued to management within the next working day. Must be able to drive an agency van. OTHER JOB DUTIES : 1. Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • Bachelor's degree in business or a business related field. May substitute years of experience in office management for education
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in the supervision of others preferred
  • Must have knowledge of proficient office procedures
  • Must have the ability to proficiently apply office procedures
  • Ability to provide organization for office operations
  • Ability to develop, maintain and process billing documents, contracts, student and staff files
  • Knowledge of computers, software and uses relating to billing and accounting
  • Ability to effectively communicate with diverse populations
  • Ability to handle difficult situations in a professional manner
  • Ability to work in school facility that treats special education behavioral disordered students
  • Must be able to drive an agency van
  • Must be able to lift at 75 pounds
  • Must be able to bend and stoop, and be able to sit in one position for long periods of time
  • Must be able to assist in restraints of a student, which can comprise of 75 pounds of force
  • Must be able to perform First Aid and CPR when needed
