About The Position

Unity House is dedicated to making life better for our communities and is seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to support our Clinical Services Team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys organization, communication, and supporting a mission-driven team that helps individuals with mental health issues. We assist those who are living in poverty, adults living with mental illness or HIV/AIDS, victims of domestic violence, and children with developmental delays. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in an administrative or medical records role
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional and courteous demeanor
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer use
  • NYS Driver License

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a client-based setting a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain medical records with strict confidentiality
  • Operate and coordinate the management information system
  • Maintain accounting and budget records for clients and program expenditures
  • Triaging incoming phone calls and ensuring proper routing
  • Coordinate communication between the program and recipients
  • Perform general office tasks including photocopying, faxing, and filing
  • Greet and assist visitors in a professional, friendly manner
  • Contribute to a work culture of inclusion and belonging
