About The Position

Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) is recruiting for an Administrative Assistant 4 to provide administrative support to the Research, Marketing and Public Affairs division, under the leadership of the Executive Director. The Administrative Assistant 4 will have additional high-profile duties in the Marketing department to ensure quality customer service with internal and external constituents, and will oversee key components of the ad campaign and branding throughout the community. This position will: Serve as the budget coordinator for the division, with oversight for a variety of accounts, expense-related invoices and travel requests using the Workday software. Coordinate financial reports and statistical data. Provide administrative support to the Executive Director of Research, Marketing and Public Affairs and division, including Institutional Research, Marketing and Communications, and Web Services. Provide project management and community outreach for Marketing. Plan, schedule and assist with marketing-related photo/video shoots. Organize, coordinate and/or support special events for the division. Provide administrative, clerical and office support. Assist employees with hiring and payroll processes. Special projects as needed including, writing supplier contracts and coordinating Public Records requests.

Requirements

  • This position requires graduation from high school or equivalent education and four (4) years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: providing administrative/program support to professional staff and management; performing secretarial duties in support of a manager; coordinating communications between the manager, staff and program clientele; supervision of subordinate staff; researching information from internal and external sources; OR One (1) year of experience as an Administrative Assistant III in Nevada State service; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience as described above
  • A valid driver’s license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
