About The Position

Great Basin College is recruiting for an Administrative Assistant 4 for the Continuing Education department. This position provides comprehensive administrative support to Continuing Education, its staff, students, instructors, and partners. Duties include student advisement and registration for CDL A and non-academic career training programs, entering and maintaining course data, website maintenance, purchasing, and student support services for over 300 online and in-person classes, including driver education for teens. Contract training support includes preparing class materials, MOUs, certificates, and invoicing. Tracks departmental financials and maintains record keeping. Responsible for tracking, responding to queries, and preparing pay for campus-wide summer term.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent education
  • Four (4) years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: providing administrative/program support to professional staff and management; performing secretarial duties in support of a manager; coordinating communications between the manager, staff and program clientele; supervision of subordinate staff; researching information from internal and external sources; OR One (1) year of experience as an Administrative Assistant III in Nevada State service; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience as described above
