About The Position

The University of Nevada, Reno is recruiting for an Administrative Assistant 3 in School of Public Health. This position will provide support to students admitted to program, answer enrollment related questions, maintain student database, create electronic files of course syllabi, supervise student workers, coordinate faculty travel, schedule appointments, arrange meetings, support development of course schedule, set operational procedures, prepare agendas and minutes. This position will also serve as a search coordinator for faculty positions, facilitate onboarding tasks for various employment types, act as point of contact for department to explain rules and regulations, maintain accounts, establish comprehensive budget system, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent education
  • Three (3) years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintenance of complex records and files; public/customer relations including explaining detailed policies, regulations and requirements; preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents such as payroll, travel, claims and budgeting forms; and assisting staff and management with projects and activities; OR One (1) year of experience as an Administrative Assistant II in Nevada State service; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience as described above
