About The Position

The University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine is recruiting for an Administrative Assistant 3 to support the Street Medicine Clinic. This position does not provide layoff rights and is contingent upon funding. This position will establish and sustain relationships within UNR and community providers and organizations serving individuals who are unhoused. The Administrative Assistant will work with co-principal investigators to provide secure care delivery sites at high-risk locations, formalize agreements, and set standardized schedules for resident clinical rotations. This position will also purchase required supplies and equipment, monitor inventory, facilitate resident access to the Street Medicine Clinic, track outreach efforts, update calendar of community events, maintain community resources, support cultural training, manage faculty travel, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent education and three (3) years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintenance of complex records and files; public/customer relations including explaining detailed policies, regulations and requirements; preparation and processing of financial and statistical documents such as payroll, travel, claims and budgeting forms; and assisting staff and management with projects and activities; OR One (1) year of experience as an Administrative Assistant II in Nevada State service; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
  • A driver’s license is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
