About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our team as an Administrative Accounting Assistant. This role combines front-desk reception and office coordination with essential accounting support, offering the opportunity to work closely with the Accounting Manager, contribute to smooth accounting processes, and handle ad hoc projects with minimal supervision. This will be a Monday through Friday In-Office role at Germantown, MD. No sponsorship available for this position Candidate must be local to Germantown, MD

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Admin, Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (Associate’s or relevant certificate might be considered with experience)
  • 2+ years of experience in office administration and accounting related tasks
  • Experience in bookkeeping, invoicing, accounts payable and credit card reconciliation
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Multi-tasking, and ability to maintain accurate, up-to-date accounting files and records
  • Proven reliability and dependability in meeting deadlines in a fast paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Provide front desk support
  • Support office activities, meetings and company events
  • Handle mail and packages
  • Maintain Office organization, inventory and conference room setups
  • Provide administrative support and assist with ad-hoc projects
  • Prepare and process invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • File and organize invoices within the existing filing system
  • Update logs and enter data into accounting spreadsheets accurately
  • Assist with accounts payable and credit card reconciliation
