About The Position

The Program Manager – OH ID/DD, or Center Administrative Assistant (“CAA”) provides support to the Center Director in planning, facilitating and evaluating individual/group vocational and adult day support programs at a center and/or in the community. Services are designed on person center planning in accordance with members Individual Service Plans. Programs are created to build/maintain and improve social skills within the community and/or master general work skills. The Program Manager/ CAA acts as a team lead with non-exempt team members. The Program Manager/CAA has significant administrative responsibilities, works closely with Direct Support Specialists, attends member assessments, is involved in programming and acts as a backup to the Center Director (“CD”) when CD is out of the Center. The Program Manager/CAA ensures program compliance with company policies and procedures, and safety and regulatory standards. The Program Manager/CAA is expected to lead by example; maintaining a positive attitude; being a thoughtful, supportive, productive and dependable co-worker; keeping our members safe; and always working to enhance the health and happiness of the people we serve and those who care for them.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required, Degree preferred; additional requirements as mandated by state-specific regulatory guidelines.
  • Minimum of two years (or full-time equivalent) Program experience in a healthcare setting strongly preferred; additional requirements as mandated by state-specific regulatory guidelines.
  • Prior experience working with adults with special needs preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule.
  • Able to stand and actively engage with members for an extended period; able to bend, pull, push, squat, turn, transfer and lift 50 pounds.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Successful results of background check, and where applicable, additional state-specific regulatory requirements.
  • CPR and First Aid Certificate required.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes and guarantees the rights of and dignity and respect for all members served.
  • Develop, plan, organize and implement diverse and creative programs for members; draft and publish related calendars and communications.
  • Participates in interviews, onboarding of new hires and volunteers and oversees, in a team lead capacity, non-exempt team members and volunteers.
  • Assists in maintaining Center master schedule.
  • Oversees and maintains program areas, supplies, and equipment ensuring all are organized, clean, stocked and in good working order.
  • Actively participates in safety and quality initiatives, care planning conferences, and ongoing assessments and maintains accurate and updated files and records.
  • Actively participates in staff meetings and in-service programs; collaborate with cross- functional teams, providing feedback and suggestions for enhancing the member experience and achieving the center’s overall goals & objectives.
  • Assist members maintaining or improving skills including but not limited to personal care skills, social skills, vocational skills, life enrichment skills.
  • Complies with safety and regulatory laws and standards including but not limited to UI/MUI reporting, HIPAA, etc.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as changed or assigned at any time.
