GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Direct overall administrative and technical operations of the Finance and Accounting Function of HOCCP. Over sees all data and physician and payer contracting. Payer relations and contract negotiation management. Client decision support and financial distribution management. Coordination of all technology solutions and related databases; liaison to HealthONE information technology. Over sees the daily operations of HOCCP. Serves as a strategic partner to the VP, CMO, and physicians. Chairs the PCAC in conjunction with the CMO. Requirements

  • Must have effective verbal and written communication in order to communicate in a clear, concise manner with staff, department directors and managers, public, and administration.
  • Demonstrateproficiencywith computer systems and spreadsheets.
  • Mustpossessstrong supervisory and coordination/organizational skills.
  • Must be detail orientedanda strong technical resource.
  • Must have strong analytical skills to interpret and analyze a wide range of data.
  • Must possess knowledge about managed care andthird-partycontractual arrangements and have the ability to analyze such arrangements, including reimbursement and revenue.
  • Education: Bachelorsof Science in Accounting or Finance
  • Experience: 3years in healthcarefinanceand threeyearssupervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Direct overall administrative and technical operations of the Finance and Accounting Function of HOCCP
  • Oversees all data and physician and payer contracting
  • Payer relations and contract negotiation management
  • Client decision support and financial distribution management
  • Coordination of all technology solutions and related databases; liaison to HealthONE information technology
  • Oversees the daily operations of HOCCP
  • Serves as a strategic partner to the VP, CMO, and physicians
  • Chairs the PCAC in conjunction with the CMO
  • Develop,executeand oversee all phases of Finance including the monthly financial statement close process, accounting and reimbursement analysis, annual budget, statistical gathering and reporting, financial computer systems, cashiering functions,financialaudits, and serves as the primary finance and accounting resource to physicians and staff.
  • Oversees theAccounts Payableand Accounts Receivablefunction, cash flow management, and performsbank reconciliation.
  • Creates the financial statements forRMG,and HOCCP.Reports financial status to theirrespectiveFinance Committee andBoards.
  • Payor Contract Negotiation and Financial Analysis of Contracts.
  • Creates andmaintainsa physiciandata baseoandpayer contracts.
  • Co-chair of the Primary Care AdvisoryCommittee;responsibilitiesincludeincorporation of gainshare opportunities in the development of theHOCCPannual scorecard andphysicianremunerationmodeling
  • Coordinates distribution of shared savings bonuses and monthly distribution of care management fees to practices.
  • Oversees data management and analysisfor all managed carecontracts.
  • Oversees the creation and distribution of performance / financial reporting sent to physicians related tovalue-basedcontracts.
  • Works in partnership with the Clinical Team Leadership tofacilitatereporting requirements to execute Clinical Team strategies
