About The Position

Temp To Full-Time I.K Hofmann is looking for a skilled Air Import Agent for an international freight forwarding and cargo logistics firm offering tailored solutions to each customer. With 39 offices in 17 countries and hundreds of vetted global agents, our expert teams are dedicated to working closely with clients to meet all ocean, air, rail, inland transportation and turnkey project needs. Air Import Agent Job Description Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operating system Track and trace Air-Ocean Import files as required Use Workflows on daily basis Ensure timely delivery of freight to customers for Import shipments Ensure documents are timely sent to customer or broker for customs purposes Ensure accurate and timely client and Service Providers billing Interact with our customers in arranging their international shipments, meeting customer service standards Contribute to maintain strong relationships with suppliers (airlines, Carriers, trucking companies, and others) Meet compliance at all times to regulations. This includes internal policies and procedures such as Operational Process Standards (OPS) and external government regulations or customer’s policies / requirements. Understand department process flow, constantly looking for areas of improved efficiency Ensure all customers' standard operating procedures are followed and updated Operating according to our Standard Operation Procedures; Support General Manager with General Office duties Ability to work with demanding deadlines Must be detail oriented, thorough and accurate. Must have proven analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to establish priorities and accomplish multiple tasks, must be organized . Essential functions: Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access invoices, office machinery, etc. Constantly operating a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a computer, calculator, copier, and printer. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to exchange accurate information in this situation. Work effectively via phone, fax, e-mail. Good planning and organization skills; ability to multitask and be a self-starter Work Environment: Office Setting - Working with others Occasionally work in extremely bright or dim lighting conditions. Requirements

Responsibilities
