This Admin Assistant II position provides clerical and operational support to the Director, Supervisors, and staff of the Pain Clinic. The role involves supporting the documentation of all department activities and disseminating information to patient records, other department records, files, and logs. The incumbent will cooperate with professional, clerical, and support personnel to ensure the accuracy, adequacy, and responsiveness of services provided to patients, the department, and hospital staff. Key responsibilities include coordinating verification of insurance coverage and prior authorizations, assisting patients with treatment requiring insurance carrier pre-authorization, and performing patient scheduling and record-keeping activities. The team member is expected to be patient-centered, providing excellent customer service. Additionally, this role serves as a lead for the Admin Assistant team, responsible for training new hires, managing staffing schedules, and acting as the front-line subject matter expert.
