Requirements

  • Master's degree in Music required. Doctoral degree in Music preferred. The required degree must be completed by the start date.
  • Prior experience teaching applied conducting lessons to undergraduate and/or graduate students required.
  • Possess a solid understanding of gestural technique as taught in "Masterful Choral Conducting" (Stahlei/Hall)
  • A firm commitment to the mission of BYU

  • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills

  • This position requires the successful candidate to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of their employment.
