Saint Joseph’s University is looking to hire highly qualified adjunct faculty. Adjunct faculty may teach 1-2 courses per semester. Essential Duties: Teach sculpture courses, including Introduction to 3D Art , Introduction to Mixed Media , and related studio-based classes. Prepare course materials, demonstrations, and project examples that introduce students to foundational and intermediate 3D art techniques. Provide ongoing support, mentorship, and constructive feedback to students; evaluate assignments and maintain accurate grading records. Ensure safe and effective operation within the woodshop and digital fabrication studio, including: Demonstrating and supervising the proper use of a variety of woodworking tools and machinery (e.g., table saw, band saw, miter saw, drill press, sanders, routers). Overseeing safe and precise use of laser cutters, including file preparation, material selection, maintenance checks, and proper ventilation procedures. Guiding students in 3D printing workflows, including CAD file preparation, slicing, printer setup and calibration, troubleshooting, and post-processing. Performing routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment and documenting incidents or repairs as needed. Maintain an organized, clean, and safety-compliant studio environment; monitor inventory and coordinate material restocking. Collaborate with faculty and staff to support a positive, inclusive learning environment and uphold departmental standards. Classes meet once a week
