About The Position

The Adjunct Instructor in Public Policy will teach in‑person undergraduate courses in Public Policy, including introductory and specialized policy courses. Responsibilities include delivering instruction, evaluating student learning, maintaining course documentation, and supporting student success. Instructors must meet all scheduled class sessions and follow university academic policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • A Master’s degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Political Science, or a closely related field
  • Demonstrated expertise in the discipline.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior teaching experience at the college level or university level.
  • Terminal degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in Public Policy, Public Administration, or related field.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems and online instructional tools.

Responsibilities

  • Teach in‑person undergraduate courses in Public Policy.
  • Prepare and deliver course content aligned with program learning outcomes.
  • Maintain regular office hours for student support and engagement.
  • Assess student performance and submit grades in accordance with university deadlines.
  • Maintain an updated course shell in the Learning Management System (LMS) prior to the start of each semester.
  • Participate in required trainings and comply with institutional policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Duties may evolve based on university or programmatic needs.
