About The Position

Provides instruction to students enrolled in MUS 105: Music Appreciation. This is an in-person position that will be required to teach classes at multiple campuses and off-campus sites, including high schools. Duties include conducting appropriate learning activities, maintaining effective instructional management, participating in all required orientations, meetings, and trainings, adhering to all college-designated deadlines, and participating in Student Learning Outcomes (SLO) assessments. This position is located on various Midlands Technical College campuses and off-campus instructional sites.

Requirements

  • Master of Arts in Music; or Master of Arts plus 18 hours in Music.

Nice To Haves

  • Past experience in teaching introductory college Music courses, especially in the community college setting, is preferred.

Benefits

  • Adjunct faculty are compensated in accordance with Midlands Technical College's established pay schedule. The standard adjunct pay rate is $2,802 per three-credit-hour course. Final compensation may vary depending on academic credentials and total course credit hours. Any variation is determined upon hire and outlined in the faculty employment agreement.
