The Alabama School of Math and Science seeks an adjunct Math Instructor to teach one class each term, starting with second term this year and continuing for a total of three classes per year (ASMS is on an 11-week trimester system). Classes include but are not limited to, Honors Algebra I and II. The adjunct will teach highly motivated high school students in an advanced college prep program. Adjunct salary is $2,200.00 per class. Master’s degree or Ph.D. and teaching experience required. Position : Adjunct Instructor (On-site classes are required) Summary : The Adjunct Instructor will provide subject-specific instruction on a part-time basis, supporting ASMS academic mission while fostering a positive and engaging learning environment. This role is ideal for individuals with professional expertise and/or teaching experience who wish to contribute to the academic growth and success of high school students . Position includes developing lesson plans that align with College Board standards, delivering engaging instruction, assessing student process, and preparing students for the AP examination. The instructor will foster critical thinking and ensure a supportive, inclusive learning environment that upholds ASMS academic standards.
