About The Position

Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas (PCCUA) is the first community college established in Arkansas, serving Eastern Arkansas with multiple campuses in DeWitt, Helena-W. Helena, and Stuttgart. PCCUA offers over 25 associate degree programs, including academic, occupational/technical, and continuing education programs. The institution is seeking an Adjunct Math Instructor for its Arts and Sciences - Phillips County Department. This role involves teaching developmental and college mathematics courses, adhering to the departmental curriculum, and maintaining a learner-centered approach. The instructor will also be responsible for accurate student record keeping, professional collaboration with faculty and staff, and contributing to student success initiatives. The position is a fixed-term, less than annual appointment and is not eligible for benefits. Requirements

• Experience integrating technology into instruction is required

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree in mathematics from an accredited institution preferred
• Prior teaching experience, preferably in a community college setting preferred
• The ability and willingness to teach a wide variety of classes
• The ability to work and interact effectively with colleagues and students of various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in developmental and college mathematics, following the departmental curriculum while maintaining a learner-centered approach to mathematics education
• Maintain accurate student records
• Participate collaboratively and professionally with other faculty and staff
• Contribute to department and college efforts to enhance student success
• Perform other related responsibilities as required
