Adjunct Lecturers, MS Health Informatics Program Benedictine University is a liberal arts institution located in metropolitan Chicago with nationally recognized undergraduate and graduate programs in the basic and applied sciences. The University offers an MS in Health Informatics degree within the Department of Nutrition and Public Health, College of Science and Health. Classes are delivered online and onsite at the two Benedictine campuses in Lisle, Illinois and in Mesa, Arizona. Adjunct faculty teach on a per-course basis to develop and teach courses focused on the Public Health aspects of the Health Informatics degree. Candidates will be required to travel to Lisle or to Mesa for one three-day (Friday to Sunday), executive format session for each course taught. Classes available now: Introduction to Health Informatics Healthcare Information Systems Electronic Health Records

Requirements

  • Graduate degree and significant experience in a related area from accredited institution is required
  • For currently available classes listed above, coursework or experience in working with health related databases, electronic health records systems, and health systems in a QI, research, or Public Health capacity is required.
  • Experience working in a health-related field is required.
  • Candidates must be willing to travel when needed for weekend sessions.

Nice To Haves

  • Terminal degree (PhD), is preferred.
  • Specific experience working with SAS, R, Python, and common HER systems is desired.
  • Applicants with experience teaching online or using online platforms will be given preference.
