About The Position

The University of Portland School of Nursing & Health Innovations invites applications for Adjunct Instructors. This position is open on a continuous, on-going basis with positions filled as needed. Adjunct Instructors are hired on a per semester basis and teach assigned School of Nursing & Health Innovations ( SONHI ) courses, not to exceed six credit hours (or equivalent) per semester. University of Portland School of Nursing & Health Innovations is currently looking for highly energetic, Nursing Clinical Faculty. The primary responsibilities for this role are supervising the nursing students in the clinical environment, evaluating student clinical performance, and grading all clinical assignments. Clinical faculty are assigned teaching responsibilities in a clinical area and are expected to contribute to the education of the students including psychomotor skills, standards of practice, and critical thinking. Adjunct faculty are accountable to the lead faculty of the assigned professional practice course, as well as the Director of the Center for Clinical Excellence. This description is a statement of minimum expectations and describes a level of performance expected of all clinical faculty.

Responsibilities
