Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) located in scenic Upstate NY is a multi-campus College with locations in Troy and Malta New York. HVCC offers more than 80 degree and certificate programs in three schools: Business and Liberal Arts; Health Sciences; and Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or in an appropriate related field to Mathematics from an accredited college or university.
  • Other Master’s Degrees considered if at least 15 credits in graduate level Mathematics courses have been completed.
  • Previous teaching experience needed.
  • Willingness and ability to teach a variety of courses at various levels of Mathematics.
  • Daytime availability strongly encouraged.
  • Reliable transportation needed.
  • May include evening courses.
  • Must be either a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Lawful Permanent Resident of the United States and appointment will be contingent upon completion of a background check.

Responsibilities

  • Provide instruction in Mathematics.
  • Evaluate student performance.
  • Participation on departmental, division wide, and college wide committees for the purpose of building community and fulfilling aspirations of professional development is encouraged and supported.
  • At the direction of the Department Chairperson, faculty shall perform duties as specified in the Faculty Contract.
