Adjunct Instructor, Mathematics
About The Position
The Department of Mathematics and Computer science seeks three adjunct instructors with the ability to teach either Precalculus (MW from 12:30pm - 1:45pm or TR from 5:00pm - 6:15pm or Business Calculus (TR from 5:00pm - 6:15pm) in the Spring of 2026, and perhaps other courses in subsequent semesters. Successful candidates should have advanced degree in mathematics or course equivalents and prior experience teaching first-year courses or upper-level high school courses. Applicants must have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and incorporate active-learning and best practices in their instruction. All course materials and associated activities will be provided and instructors will be paired with a faculty member for the semester.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Mathematics or equivalent and prior successful teaching experience.
Nice To Haves
- Experience teaching equivalent classes such as AP Precalculus, dual-enrollment Precalculus, Applied Calculus or Business Calculus.
