The University of the District of Columbia is a public land grant institution of higher learning dedicated to providing quality, career focused undergraduate and graduate programs that prepare students with the knowledge, skills, and credentials needed to launch, enhance, or change careers. Incumbents must teach all assigned classes and hours as determined by semester course schedule; Incumbents will be required to prepare and deliver relevant curriculum to students in the, using a variety of teaching methods to include, but not limited to, lecture, class discussion, demonstration labs, and projects. The University of the District of Columbia Workforce – Division of Development and Lifelong Learning Division (UDC-WDLL), a branch of the University of the District of Columbia (UDC), is seeking enthusiastic and qualified part-time instructors interested in teaching Workforce Readiness Skills Development courses. The Workforce Readiness Skills Development courses will help students develop and practice basic employability skills, such as effective communication, problem solving, resume building, and interviewing, in order to acquire, secure, and excel in a new job. These courses will teach and foster good work habits and soft skills that will facilitate students’ ongoing success. Other assistance includes instruction and support in the use of adaptive technology and equipment, its application to work experience, and focus on time management and organization.
