About The Position

Greenville University's Department of Biology and Chemistry is seeking an adjunct instructor for General Biology, Environmental Science, or Anatomy and Physiology. Preferred requirements include a minimum of a Master's degree in Biology or related field (PhD preferred). A commitment to excellence in teaching will be expected. The selected candidate must provide evidence of a vibrant Christian faith, clearly understand and internalize the mission of Greenville University, and articulate the value of Christian higher education. The primary responsibilities of the position include: Teaching courses in one of the following areas: General Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, Environmental Science.

Requirements

  • Commitment to the integration of faith with the discipline.
  • Commitment to competent inter-cultural teaching
  • Graduate degree in the biological sciences or health professions.
  • A demonstrated, vibrant Christian faith compatible with the mission of Greenville University.
  • A commitment to excellence in teaching in the context of an undergraduate, liberal arts education.
  • Experience in engaging students in learning in settings that may include classroom, laboratory, and online.
  • A commitment to the integration of Christian faith with the discipline of biology and health care.
  • Ability to engage in critical thinking and exercise independent judgment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral forms.

Nice To Haves

  • PhD preferred
