About The Position

Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College, established in 1902, is dedicated to educating health care professionals. Located on the Washington University Medical Campus in St. Louis and affiliated with Barnes-Jewish Hospital, with an additional site at Missouri Baptist Medical Center, Goldfarb is a private nursing college. It enrolls over 650 students across its baccalaureate, masters, and doctoral degree programs. The college boasts nationally recognized educational facilities, including state-of-the-art classrooms, lecture halls, and sophisticated Clinical Simulation Institute labs equipped with patient simulation manikins and exam rooms for advanced nursing care experiences. Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College holds accreditation from the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), and is approved by the Missouri State Board of Nursing and Higher Education Commission. Adjunct faculty members contribute to the college's mission by fulfilling assigned functions in clinical settings, adhering to academic and regulatory standards, and supplementing regular faculty positions to meet student enrollment needs. Each faculty member is responsible for carrying out duties and functions as specified by the course leader or program director, under the guidance of the appropriate Academic Chair or Associate Dean.

Responsibilities

  • Teaches in labs, simulation, orientation, clinical and classroom settings
  • Uses technology to enhance and optimize student learning outcomes
  • Implements experiences/activities that complement classroom expectations for safe, effective practitioners
  • Completes and submits student assessments and evaluations consistent with College standards
  • Responsible for instruction, supervision and evaluation of student performance in various settings
