The Textile/Surface Design department is recruiting a pool of applicants for possible adjunct teaching positions for TD 334 Complex Dobby Wovens. Successful candidates will have expertise in multi-harness, advanced level drafting, experience using 16-24 harness hand looms (AVL compu-dobby preferred), and experience using industry standard software such as Pointcarre or Nedgraphics for dobby and experience with technical packs for developing woven fabrics. Ideal candidates have strong skills in layouts, repeats, color, ability to analyze and research current market color and concept trends and have experience designing wovens for the fashion or home industry or have a robust fiber arts practice using complex weaving. Adjunct instructors deliver relevant course material, assess student performance, provide guidance and assistance to students both in and out of the classroom, and submit grades on time. Course descriptions are available in the online catalog. This is a part-time position, adjunct teaching position beginning in Fall 2025.
