About The Position
Adjunct instructors will be expected to teach courses in graphic design. Current areas in need include: typography and layout design; packaging and 3D design; interactive motion graphics; and user experience. Other opportunities may exist to teach studio art, digital photography, or art appreciation courses, depending on the department’s scheduling and the instructor’s skillset.
Requirements
- Candidates must satisfy one of the following requirements: 1) a master’s degree in the field/discipline in which they are teaching; 2) enrolled in a master’s program with at least 18 hours of relevant coursework completed; 3) significant professional experience, subject to approval by the Provost.
Nice To Haves
- MFA degree with some teaching experience at the college level.
- Experience as a graduate teaching assistant may be acceptable
