About The Position

The History of Art department is recruiting a pool of applicants for possible adjunct teaching positions. Successful candidates will teach one or more of the following global art history survey courses: HA 115 - Crossroads: Global Art and History, 1450-1750 HA 121 - Cities and Civilizations: The Eastern Mediterranean World, c. 3000 BCE-1000 CE HA 131 - Global Modern Art, 1750-1950 HA 228 - Oceanic Art and Civilization HA 246 - Art and Social Justice in New York Adjunct instructors deliver relevant course material, assess student performance, provide guidance and assistance to students both in and out of the classroom, and submit grades on time. Course descriptions are available in the online catalog.

Requirements

  • Candidates must have an earned Master's degree, as well as thirty (30) additional and appropriate graduate credits and/or evidence of scholarly achievement, professional activities, and teaching experience.
  • The requirement for the Master's Degree may be waived if the candidate is in a doctoral program in which the Master's Degree is not required.

Nice To Haves

  • PhD or other terminal degree in a related field is preferred.
