About The Position

The Physics Department at the University of St. Thomas is seeking adjunct instructors of physics for upcoming fall/spring semesters in the 2026-2027 academic year. The teaching load typically ranges from one to two courses per semester, depending on departmental needs and enrollments. Potential course assignments include Algebra and Calculus-based versions of Classical Physics, which are offered with an integrated lecture/lab in a two-period block three days a week and count as a two-course load. Maximum class size is 36 students. The university expects courses to be taught in-person. Requirements

  • Master’s degree, doctorate, or ABD nearing completion in Physics or a closely related field

Benefits

  • Salary Range: The salary range for the College of Arts and Sciences Adjunct positions ranges from $5,994 to $6,717 (per 4 credit undergraduate course, 3 credit graduate course). Rate of pay is determined by academic credential and years of teaching experience.
