About The Position

We are currently hiring adjunct faculty to teach UASE 531- Robotics and Control. Course Description Modeling, design, planning, and control of robotic systems. Robotics and control design decisions specific to uncrewed systems including remotely operated and autonomous uncrewed aerial systems (UAS) and uncrewed space systems. Robotics foundations in kinematics, dynamics, control, motion planning, trajectory generation, programming, telemetry, sensor integration, remote operation, and design. Task and motion planning for utilization within uncrewed system technology. Please note that ERAU policy requires that all adjuncts be physically located within the United States while working for the University, including during training. Presently, we are able to support work for new adjuncts from all U.S. states except California. ERAU does not support work from international locations with some limited exceptions for individuals who are residing and working from U.S. military bases. If selected for this role, the candidate will be required to provide proof of stated qualifications. This includes, but is not limited to, official transcripts, copies of professional licenses/certifications, documentation of military experience, and/or verified professional industry related experience.

Requirements

  • ERAU policy requires that all adjuncts be physically located within the United States while working for the University, including during training.

  • If selected for this role, the candidate will be required to provide proof of stated qualifications. This includes, but is not limited to, official transcripts, copies of professional licenses/certifications, documentation of military experience, and/or verified professional industry related experience.
  • Ph. D. in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, systems engineering, industrial engineering, or closely related engineering field.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience at a Military / Civilian organization operating uncrewed aerial systems.
  • Active membership in professional organizations in engineering, i.e., Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), National Academy of Engineering, National Society of Professional Engineers, Aircraft Designer, Robotics, Human Factors and Ergonomics Society, or other field related to the development, testing, operation, training, integration, or maintenance hardware and software systems of UAS, uncrewed space systems, or stand-alone robotic systems.
  • Any professional certification related to UAS, uncrewed space system, or stand-alone robotic system operations.
