About The Position
This position is for an Adjunct Clinical Instructor for the JCCC Dental Hygiene Program. The adjunct clinical faculty will be assigned to instruct students working in the JCCC campus dental hygiene clinic for Radiology, Local Anesthesia and Nitrous Oxide Labs. Current need is Fridays and will begin in the fall semester, 2026. This position could also potentially serve as a substitute when other part-time or full-time faculty are unable to work and/or there is an emergency need to fill.
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene
- 3 years dental hygiene clinical practice experience
- Eligibility for Dental Hygiene Licensure in the State of Kansas
- Local Anesthesia Certificate
- Nitrous Oxide Certificate
- Current CPR Certification (BLS with AED)
- Strong communication Skills
- Ability to give quality constructive feedback for improved learning in a collaborative environment
- Ability to work well with others in a team based clinical setting
- Ability to adhere to the JCCC Dental Hygiene Educational Policies and Procedures.
- Ability to prepare as needed outside of assigned work hours and prior to clinic days.
