About The Position

The University of Scranton's Department of Health and Human Performance has an ongoing need for highly qualified adjunct faculty to teach a variety of courses each semester in the field of Speech-Language Pathology (SLP). Adjunct faculty may instruct one or more courses each semester on an "as needed" basis. A particular need in SLP is for the medically based speech pathology courses (e.g., tracheostomized and ventilator dependency and head and neck cancer) provided in a synchronous distance education environment.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Certifications in a field relevant to the course, if applicable.

Nice To Haves

  • Preference will be given to Ph.D. or Ed.D. candidates
  • Preference will be given to candidates with previous college-level teaching experience and willingness to be flexible in class scheduling.
  • For SLP courses, candidates with previous college-level distance learning teaching experience preferred.
