About The Position

Lorain County Community College (LCCC) is seeking applicants for an adjunct faculty position in the Manufacturing Engineering Technology - Mechanical Design Program, within the Division of Engineering, Business, and Information Technologies (EBIT). The adjunct faculty will instruct students in the skills required to create engineering drawings using AutoCAD (CADD 235). Building on the concepts learned in Introduction to Computer Aided Drafting, this course covers orthographic projection, isometric and oblique projections, sectional views, auxiliary views, dimensioning and tolerancing, and threads and fasteners as they relate to two-dimensional detail and assembly drawings. Even though some freehand sketching is required, the course focuses more heavily on the use of AutoCAD. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or closely related field.
A minimum of three years of relevant industry experience.
Available to teach in-person.
Ability to operate a computer to post syllabus, grades, and attendance.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or closely related field.
Prior teaching experience at the community college level.
Experience with the Canvas learning management system.
