About The Position

The Division of Humanities and Learning Communities is looking to hire Adjunct Faculty to teach for the Global Languages Department. Teach in-person Arabic courses. Teaching various levels and sections of ARB-101 (Elementary Arabic I), ARB-102 (Elementary Arabic II). Courses are offered fully in-person on campus (Charlestown and Chelsea campuses).

Requirements

  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in Arabic or related field.
  • Experience teaching various levels and sections of ARB-101 (Elementary Arabic I), ARB-102 (Elementary Arabic II).
  • Evidence of engagement in culturally responsive pedagogies.
  • Experience with high-impact teaching and learning practices (examples: undergraduate research, community engagement, critical pedagogies, learning communities).
  • Proven ability to work with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population.
  • Ability to teach courses on campus in an in-person setting at BHCC's Charlestown or Chelsea campuses.

Nice To Haves

  • Community college teaching experience preferred.
