About The Position

Saint Joseph’s University’s Department of Economics has an ongoing need for highly qualified adjunct faculty to staff a variety of courses each semester. We are looking for the support of highly qualified, capable, and experienced adjunct instructors able to teach in-person courses on our Hawk Hill campus. For further information about the Department, please visit our website at https://www.sju.edu/departments/economics Saint Joseph’s University’s Department of Economics has an ongoing need for highly qualified adjunct faculty to staff ECN101 – Introduction to Microeconomics and ECN102 – Introduction to Macroeconomics. These courses are in-person courses on our Hawk Hill campus in Philadelphia. Part-time adjunct faculty may instruct 1 or 2 courses each semester on an “as needed” basis. There is not guarantee we will need any additional instructors in any given semester. Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Economics or closely related field
  • previous teaching experience of ECN101 and/or ECN102

Nice To Haves

  • ABD or PhD in economics
  • previous teaching experience
  • willingness to be flexible in class scheduling

Responsibilities

  • teaching of a specified course
  • preparation of course materials
  • providing support and guidance to students
  • grade reporting
  • cooperating with department chair or other program faculty to assure quality and consistency across the program
