About The Position

The Department of Psychiatry at the University of Florida is seeking a motivated, organized, patient care-focused individual to join our team through the Adjunct Clinical Post-Doctoral Associate Training Program. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to innovative clinical and research initiatives within a dynamic academic medical environment. In the first year of the program, the selected candidate will collaborate with the UF Health Center for Autism and Neurodevelopment (UF Health CAN), under the supervision of Dr. Kerri Peters and Dr. Vivian Ibanez. The primary focus will be on expanding BCBA services, particularly in support of funded research projects and clinical contracts. Additional involvement in other research and clinical activities aligned with the UF Health CAN mission may also be expected. Please note that assignments may be adjusted based on the evolving needs of the department and/or college. Requirements

  • Ph.D. with emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis
  • Board certification

  • Expertise in the area of severe behavior, specifically pediatric feeding disorder.

Responsibilities

  • Train and participate in a growing clinical and research program in improving care for pediatric feeding disorders and individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders in specialized settings.
  • Participate in funded grants, such as developing educational materials and distributing those resources to Behavioral Therapists across the state.
  • Expand the applied behavior analysis and treatment services for children with a wide range of severe behavior disorders, with a focus on pediatric feeding disorders
  • Serve as a key academic staff member by supporting training initiatives and collaborating with UF Health CAN and affiliated providers across the UF Health system to address the specialized needs of individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, pediatric feeding challenges, and severe behavior disorders.
  • Other duties as assigned by the needs of the training program.
