About The Position

The adjunct agriculture technical advisor will develop decision support resources and provide information to an identified suite of USDA audiences regarding current and future conditions and management options. The technical advisor will advance the implementation of conservation practices by creating technical guides that aid in the design of the conservation practice implementation and the benefits they will provide. This is a part-time (25%), remote position.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in agricultural sciences.
  • Experienced with livestock infrastructure systems in New Hampshire.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel for work.
  • Availability to work some nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expertise towards project goal to support the Natural Resource Conservation Service in delivery of information and resources for USDA staff, forest managers, technical service providers, and landowners to reduce risks to natural resources, improve productivity, and help reduce costs associated with land management.
  • Develop decision support resources and provide information to an identified suite of USDA audiences regarding current and future conditions and management options
  • Advance the implementation of conservation practices by creating technical guides that aid in the design of the conservation practice implementation and the benefits they will provide.
