About The Position

TDEC (The Data Entry Company), a nationally recognized Business Processing Outsourcing Organization (BPO), seeks an Adjudicator/PSA to support a federal agency. This position is fully remote. Part-time on call (up to 29 hours a week)

Requirements

  • Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree highly desired
  • Experience Requirement: 2 years in this field
  • Pass a federal background investigation
  • Experience reviewing closed tiered investigations for completeness, identifying missing information, and requesting missing information from the service provider or source. They should also have experience assessing the severity of issue (derogatory) information in completed investigations and, if possible, applying fitness criteria.
  • Extensive knowledge of e-QIP screening requirements and required materials for OPM Tiered-level investigations.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing background investigations for completeness and requesting missing information from investigative service provider or contacting source directly as necessary.
  • Assessing severity of any derogatory information contained in background investigations and, if necessary, request additional information from investigative service provider or subject as appropriate.
  • Applying guidelines provided in HSPD-12, Executive Orders 13381, 13467, 13488, and Title 5 of the Code of Federal Regulations, to determine applicant’s fitness for duty, suitability and/or credentialing eligibility for employment with the Government.
  • Updating FSEM’s PS database with access recommendation.
  • Responsible for all aspects of the processing of e-QIP or successor e-application system request.
  • Staffing the FSEM-PS help desk
  • Assisting in the administration of the PIV Card Management Program
  • Must fully screen and release/reject no fewer on average than 25 e-QIP cases per day for completeness and accuracy.
  • Possess the ability to identify discrepancies and missing information from investigative forms (e-QIP Standard Forms 85, 85P, 86, Standard Form 306, various investigative releases).
  • Successfully communicate via email, telephone and/or fax with personnel being processed for investigation to address incomplete or discrepant information for the scheduling of investigations.
  • Assist with the processing and handling of case material receipts to include matching the receipts with the appropriate case and tracking unassigned pieces.
