The University of Dayton Research Institute (UDRI) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Additive Repair Process Engineer to join our Sustainment Tech Transition division in Warner Robins, GA. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to advancing cutting-edge technologies in the field of additive manufacturing for repair and sustainment applications. The position provides engineering support for aircraft and vehicle sustainment technology development and transition including aircraft, vehicle, and ground support equipment maintenance. This role will: Support design, manufacturing, and test/validation of repair procedures for additive manufacturing repair technologies. Support material characterization of additive repair material deposits used in repair and sustainment of parts for aircraft, vehicle, and ground support equipment. Assist in planning, coordinating, developing, and executing test protocols using industry standards, experiments, process characterization and process validations on new and revised products and processes. Assist in writing and updating standard operating procedures and other documentations required. Consult or provide technical advice to team members on product and process issues. Assist in the organization and ordering of inventory in the maintenance of manufacturing supplies and materials. Participate in training and community outreach events Develop long-term product implementation strategies Provide technical oversight/guidance for Junior Sustainment Engineers and Technicians
