About The Position

The ADC Donor Greeter is responsible for general donation center related duties such as accepting donations, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean, neat, and safe work environment. This position also involves sorting, cleaning, and packaging merchandise to be shipped and sold at stores. In some instances, the role may also include stocking merchandise and conducting sales.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Ability to read and understand documents such as receipts, time cards, policy manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports.
  • Ability to speak effectively and communicate clearly to other employees and customers.
  • General math skills required.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in bringing donations inside.
  • Ensure accurate donation log reporting by recording donations using the daily tracking methods.
  • Sort donations into proper equipment for processing and transportation.
  • Properly label all equipment.
  • Assist in loading and unloading of merchandise and equipment onto/off trucks as needed, ensuring safety procedures are followed during packing and movement of equipment.
  • Maintain a friendly, helpful attitude toward the customer and possess professional service oriented etiquette at all times.
  • Greet customers in a friendly and enthusiastic manner within 10 seconds of arrival.
  • Address customer concerns in a courteous and respectful manner, while following retail policies, and seek assistance of supervisor, when necessary, to resolve concerns.
  • Maintain interior and exterior of store in a neat, clean, organized manner (including but not limited to vacuuming, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, mopping floor).
  • Act as a positive member of the team at the store by receiving and providing ideas or concerns to coworkers and management in a timely and supportive fashion.
  • Sort, test, and clean items for quality and processing.
  • Ensure accurate payment collection if necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
